St Paul's Bay, Mellieha Bay and Golden Bay

St Paul's is the most historic area around the Bugibba point. It derives it's name from the Saint that was shipwrecked in the bay and to who the Maltese gave a typical warm welcome. Once a pretty fishing village the area is still focused around the quaint harbour.

There are a good selection of bars and restaurants but for those seeking a livelier evening in the area, the vibrant bars and restaurants are mainly located in Bugibba. There are a range of water sports available along St. Paul's Bay including diving and windsurfing.

Mellieha boasts the longest sandy beach on the island, plus an abundance of water sports and many beach bars. It is set about 16kms north of St Julians and 3kms from St Paul's Bay.
Golden Bay is definitely one of the best sandy beaches on the island. It is idea for water sport enthusiasts. There are no facilities other than a few bars and restaurants in neighbouring hotels. Although buses operate at regular intervals, car hire is recommended.
